Last week we identified the benefits of humor as an important leadership quality. Some studies even see it as an indicator of intelligence.

This week I would like to go one step further and shed a little more light on the power of self-humor for personal development.

Why is self-humor so helpful and healing? Well, you can only laugh at yourself when you step out of yourself and take a so-called “meta perspective”, in which you look at yourself as a third person.

This new perspective unfolds unimagined powers: Many problems are put into perspective or suddenly disappear completely.

Such changes of perspective are often and successfully used as a tool in business coaching – I will come back to this next week. Stay healthy and humorous … 🙂
